HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Bella

Bella is doing a little better. She likes to lay on the couch with her blanket and sleep alot. I am now able to leave the room without her crying, but after a few minutes she will come looking for me. If only I could make her pain and confusion go away....she is such a sweet baby.

Very sad

Unfortunately all of Bellas puppies passed away. They were born about a week too early, and the vet said that they just might not have been fully developed. One puppy (they grayish one) was not alive when we woke up yesterday morning, and the black and white one died about 20 minutes later. Christopher and I tried everything from mouth to mouth to praying to try and save them. It was just not their time. We are all so sad, and Bella is unconsolable. She will not let me leave her side, and cries when I try to. It has been emotionally draining.

Merry Christmas!! The babies have arrived!

We woke up this morning and found out that Bella had delivered 2 puppies on our couch! One of the babies was not alive, but the other was moving around. Christopher called Lil Man's mom Donna and she came over. We moved Bella and her baby into our bedroom and about 30 mins later she delivered the 3rd one! What a wonderful Christmas present! Christopher was soooooo excited that he said we could put Christmas on hold until she was done :) So there are two healthy and happy Christmas puppies! Both are boys. Mom and babies are well. And on top of that we still had to open our Christmas presents and make Christmas lunch because everyone was coming over to our house!! It was a very eventful and unforgetable day! Congratulations Bella and Little Man!!

Christmas Cookies!

Last night Chris and Christopher made some Christmas cookies! I think they got more flour on themselves than on the cookies!! But they were delicious!

The Expecting Parents

Bella and Lil' Man are 50 days into their pregnancy! Here they are enjoying an evening together! Bella went to her Dr. today and he said that she is healthy and will probably double in size before she delivers!

The Elfis Impersonator Play

Thursday night Christopher was in his 4th grade Christmas play! He played Santa Claus! Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Danny, Trisha and Alyssa came to see him too! It was fun to watch!

SCARY

Saturday, Chris was having chest pains and went to the emergency room. It was scary because he is all the way down in Alvin! Apparently when you go to the emergency room with "chest pains" there is no waiting time (so the next time you break your arm, just say your having chest pains and you'll get right in!) Luckily he wasnt having a heart attack...just a bad case of acid reflux. This means no smoking, coffee, beer, or fatty foods...............oh ,what is a Chris to do?? :)

Bella- 44 days pregnant

Bella is now 44 days into her pregnancy. She should give birth anywhere between December 28th-January 5th! We have all been guessing on the day she will deliver....here are our guesses

Our neighbor Donna (Lil Man's mom) is keepin the tally for all of us!

Kitty Condo

Christopher made a kitty condo for the cats. He used a template from his National Geographic Kids magazine. He wrapped it in Christmas paper and put it under the tree. Lo and behold, guess who made his home in it first- MAX :)

Each year the Lewisville Fire Dept. drives Santa through our neighborhood to throw out candy!

Chef Christopher

We have a new cook in our house and he is 10 years old :) Christopher has decided that he wants to cook dinner every night this week. Last night he served buttered noodles and diced ham. Tonight's cuisine is Sloppy Joe's :) We went to the grocery store tonight so he could pick out his menu for the rest of the week. We will be having BLT's, Potato Tacos (his favorite), Spaghetti, Boneless Pork Chops and Stuffed Peppers. Sounds delicious!!

And the Sick Continues....

I stayed home from work today. Just cant seem to shake this virus. Christopher stayed home from school too. We just were not ourselves today. Chris is in Alvin and he isnt feeling well either.....hopefully this will be the ONLY illness that we get this season. We have been pretty lucky this past year too. The last time Christopher went to the Dr was last September.
Rob called and said that they let RJ go home today from the hospital. Apparently he his almost back to his normal self because since he has been home he has broken the shower, bit Lori and pulled his IV out! Poor Lori!! I guess his meds needed to be adjusted to his weight, so hopefully the higher doses will help him :)

RJ

RJ was taken to the hospital last night. He had a night terror and broke his nose and cut his head. He was also unconscious. Scary, scary night.... After many tests today and more to come, they have adjusted his meds and Rob says he is getting back to normal. He sent me a phone pic of him eating chocolate ice cream in the hospital tonight :) What a week this has been.....

Bella is Pregnant!

Bella, our Chihuahua, was mated with our neighbors Chihuahua Lil'Man on Halloween night. They are expecting their litter between Christmas Day and New Years Day. Bella is currently 4 wks and 4 days and showing!! We will find out soon how many babies they will be having!

Max's Surgery

Max had his surgery and so far everything seems well. He is eating and pooping and everything else in between. As you can see he was opened all the way up to get the thread out. He is on the mend :)

Sick Time Part III

Well everyone is getting better and on the up & up, however, I am now sick- UGH! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at our house this time. Chris's dad and Suzanne came out from NC and all the family came here for the day. Chris smoked two turkey breasts and they were AWESOME! I also impressed myself with all the casseroles and extras :)

Sick Time -Part II

Well, Christopher has enjoyed his day off, however, I have had to drag him all over the town today! We took Max in first thing and he had surgery at 1:30pm. The vet called this evening and told us what he found....Max had eaten a thread and it was stuck from the base of his tongue all the way down into his intestines. The vet had to remove 6 inches of his intestines and cut into his stomach and also cut the thread from his tongue. Yes, this is the same kitten who crapped a pencil a few months back!! We will be bringing him home tonight and then its back to the vets again in the morning. There is a 60% chance that he will make a full recovery. The main problem is if the intestines heal and do not perforate. It will be touch and go for the next week....keep your fingers crossed!!

Sick Time!

Unfortunately we are having a bout of sickness in our family. Christopher has a virus and our kitty Max is currently on hold for surgery in the morning. What a weekend we had! We cleaned the whole house only to have Max vomit on every inch of cleaned floor and carpet. It went from easy to clean yellow, to hard to clean green-Ugh!

Christopher is happy because he does not have to go to school for the whole week! I guess its good that my company is closed all week too!

My First Gift Album

This is my very first gift album. It is for my mother-n-law for Christmas. It is an 8x8 album, and I found it a little difficult because you dont have much room to work with. On the other hand, I found it quite nice to only be working with 1-3 pictures for each page :) I am only half way done (we have quite the family) so I will be posting more later.
