Disney 10-16-09

Hadnt had a chance until now to post some pics of our trip to FL.  We went to Orlando to take Christopher to Disney for the first time for his birthday.  We all had a wonderful time!  We were there for a week.  Chris's dad and Suzanne had a timeshare that we stayed in.  Beautiful place, Regal Palms.  Danny, Trisha and Alyssa were also there too.  We also visited Aunt Alma, Aunt Susan, Aunt Prissy and Uncle Steve.  Got to see cousins Lora and Holly too.  Disney was just awesome, everything we hoped for and more.  Happy 11th Birthday little man!!

New Pool

Thanks to our wonderful neighbors we now have something to cool off in next summer :) Thanks Donna & Sylvia!!  We will miss you when you move, but we have had a great 8 years as neighbors!  The pool is not complete yet, but here is Christopher getting some leaves out.

First day of school

Oh how time flies...Christopher has started the 5th grade.....not too long ago we were walking him to his first day of kindergarten. *sigh* :)

Alyssa is 7!

My beautiful niece has turned 7!! She got a Wii and some arts and crafts...she also wanted her cake to be smooshed in her face :) Well she got it!

Well I got my new scrapping room :) I love it! Chris removed the entire closet and put new flooring in. I picked the paint and he made some shelves. I have 2 work areas/tables. What do you think?

ICE STORM 2009

We had an ice storm that lasted from last night through today. Christophers school was closed both Tue and Wed. Chris got home last night. This morning we woke up and EVERYTHING was coated in 1/4 inch of ice. I didnt go to work until 1pm and there was still ice under the overpasses. Tonight the remaining moisture should freeze again. I hate driving in the ice!!

Rob & Kellie's visit to TX

Rob and Kellie came out to visit for the weekend. We packed a lot into a few days. Thurs night we went out to Springcreek BBQ with Chris, Friday we went to Dwtn Dallas and then to Joes Crab Shack. Saturday we spent the day at the Stockyards and watched a cattle drive and a shootout. We then explored dwtn Ft. Worth and went back to the SY to watch a live rodeo. It was awesome! Sunday we went to the shops of Highland Village and ate at the Blue Goose, and then drove out to Pilot Knoll to see the campgrounds that M&D will stay at. They left on Monday and headed back to NC. We had such a great time!

Girls Night Out

This was our second girls night out. We went shopping, out to eat and watched The Curious Case of Benjemin Button at the movies. We went to the Shops of Highland Village which is a really cool place to hang out!

The Million Dollar Project

Christopher had an assignment for school called the Million Dollar Project. His objective was if he had a million dollars what would he spend it on. He could only use $1,000 for charity and only have 2 cars. Of course he bought a Lambourgini and a house on the beach. He donated to the SPCA and bought a cat. The rest he spent on a boat, electronics and clothes. A million dollars just doesnt seem to go as far these days!!
